The Next Step

Well my daughter is enjoying playgroup so much we have decided to trial her in a half-day day care to get her used to being with mum or dad and helping her improve the all important social skills. She has never been 5 hours away from either parent so it will be interesting to see how she goes.
So I will be doing the all important task of sending her off with her packed lunch tomorrow and hoping for the best. Nappies, blankie, change of clothes, a drink, lunch, morning tea - have I forgotten anything?

Good luck for her first day…sometimes i think it’s harder for us than them
Well I can happily report she didn’t even miss me and they said it was like she had been going for a long time. How good is that!!
I was freaking out when I put Charley in day care for that exact same reason - but now she is in two days a week, and her social, language and other skills have improved outta site! And it is great to have some me time too.
You’ll have to keep us updated on how she goes.
She really did enjoy her time though - now that we have moved we will have to seek out a similar setup in Melbourne for her.
