I had the luxury of sleeping in today until 11.00am.  Now let me just preface by saying that this is not a common occurrence in my life - even though there are some mornings I wish it would be.  My two year old rarely lets me sleep in past 7.00am so 11.00am is just unimaginable.

I have just found out exactly how much time I had when I only managed half the business - the hard way!!  Now that I have full control - my time is even more limited.  I am going to have to try and get more organised with everything and try to work out a routine that will fit the current situation but this can be difficult when you are staying somewhere temporarily.

I received an email the other day informing me that a list of the Top 100 blogs in Australia, according to Technorati statistics, had been put together and unfortunately I hadn’t made it into the top 100.  But the good news is at the last count I was listed at number 114 so I now need to make a concerted effort and see if I can move my way up the list.

The day we were due to return to Australia, my daughter comes down with a cold.  And what happens when we get here, I manage to catch it.  It’s not as if regular jetlag and lack of sleep on an airplane would be enough - no - that would make things just way too easy!

Today is my daughter’s 2nd birthday - we just finished the cake and unwrapping her presents and now she has gone down for a nap.  At 2 she knew something was happening but I don’t think she could relate the concept of the birthday to herself even though she can sing happy birthday and eat the cake.
